Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 3, 2026
Effective date: October 4, 2026

This policy explains how Mad Ethel’s Tattoo handles information collected through madethelstattoo.com and our tattoo, piercing, laser tattoo removal, and general inquiries. Contact us at MadEthel@MadEthelsTattoo.com with privacy questions.

Information you provide

Depending on how you contact us, we may receive your name, email address, phone number, age or date of birth, preferred artist or service, scheduling preferences, and the details of your request. Tattoo and laser inquiries may include design references, placement details, tattoo photographs, or other images you choose to upload. Piercing inquiries may include the requested piercing and relevant information about an existing piercing.

If you contact us on someone else’s behalf, provide only information you are authorized to share. Please do not send government ID copies, payment card details, medical records, or intimate images through a general inquiry form unless our team specifically directs you to an appropriate process.

How we use inquiry information

We use the information you submit to review your request, connect you with the appropriate artist or team member, answer questions, discuss services and scheduling, and follow up about your inquiry or appointment. We may also use records to operate our business, resolve disputes, prevent misuse, and meet applicable obligations. Submitting an inquiry does not confirm an appointment.

Service messages and email marketing

Providing contact information for an inquiry allows our team to respond about that request. Service-related communication is separate from permission to receive promotional messages.

We send promotional emails. You can use the unsubscribe link in a promotional email or contact us to ask that promotional emails stop. Opting out of promotions does not prevent necessary communication about an inquiry, appointment, or service you have requested.

We do not currently send promotional text messages. If we introduce text marketing, we will provide the relevant information and a separate opt-in process before sending promotional texts. Submitting a service inquiry is not consent to text marketing.

Photos and uploaded files

We use inquiry uploads to understand the service you are requesting and discuss it with you. Uploaded inquiry images and files are stored in our  system as part of our inquiry and client-management process. Relevant studio team members and service providers may process them to help manage your request.

Submitting a reference image or body photograph for an inquiry does not by itself grant permission to publish it in our portfolio, social media, or advertising. Public use of client images is subject to a separate permission process. Share only the images needed for your request.

Website information, cookies, and advertising

Our website and its service providers may collect technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, pages visited, interactions, referring pages, and campaign information. Cookies and similar technologies help the site function and may support analytics and advertising measurement.

Our website is hosted on Wix. Google and Meta tools, where installed and enabled, may process website activity and identifiers to help measure website use or marketing performance. These providers may associate activity with information collected on other websites or their own services.

We are not currently running paid advertising campaigns. Paused campaigns do not necessarily disable website analytics or installed tracking tools. If we introduce new advertising uses or providers, we will update this policy as appropriate.

Where cookie choices are available on the site, use those controls to manage optional categories. You can also manage cookies in your browser. Blocking cookies may affect some site features. A browser “Do Not Track” signal should not be assumed to disable every embedded service; use the available cookie controls and provider settings to manage tracking preferences.

Who may receive information

Information may be available to relevant studio staff and artists who help with your inquiry or service. We use providers for website hosting, forms, client management, file storage, communications, and analytics. These include Wix and GoHighLevel and may include Google and Meta for the purposes described above.

We may disclose information when required by law or legal process, to protect people or our rights, to investigate misuse, or in connection with a business transfer subject to applicable law. Links and embedded tools from other businesses are also subject to their own privacy policies.

Children and guardian inquiries

Our website inquiry forms are intended for adults and users age 13 or older. For a client under 13, a parent or legal guardian must contact us and submit the inquiry using the adult’s own contact information. A child under 13 should not submit their own contact information through our forms.

A guardian should clearly identify which details belong to the guardian and which relate to the client, and provide only what is needed for the request. Privacy instructions do not replace our piercing age, identification, or guardian attendance requirements. If you believe a child under 13 submitted information directly, contact us so we can review and address it.

Retention and security

Inquiry and client information may be retained for follow-up, service administration, business records, dispute resolution, and applicable legal requirements. Retention can vary by record type and purpose. Contact us about a specific record or upload if you want to request removal.

Information is handled through the systems used by our studio and providers. No website, email, or storage system can guarantee complete security. Avoid including sensitive information that is unnecessary for your inquiry.

Your choices and privacy requests

You may contact us to ask about your information, request a correction, request deletion, or update communication preferences. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have additional privacy rights. We may need to verify your identity or authority to act for someone else before responding. Some information may need to be retained for legal obligations, transaction records, or disputes.

Send requests to MadEthel@MadEthelsTattoo.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. Please describe your request without attaching sensitive documents. We will explain any additional information needed to process it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or practices change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised date. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a change, that process will be handled separately.
