Consultation Payment
The $50 nonrefundable consultation payment is credited toward your first treatment, whether that treatment is the same day or a later visit.
Before Your Visit
Your tattoo must be at least 12 weeks old. Bring valid ID and complete a release form for each visit. Review our tattoo removal policies before booking.
Laser Tattoo Removal
If your goal is full removal, start with an in-person assessment. At Mad Ethel’s, we use the Quanta System Discovery PICO picosecond laser platform for tattoo removal and lightening.
Picosecond technology delivers very short pulses of laser energy to fragment tattoo ink into smaller particles. Your body gradually clears those particles over time, with healing between visits.
Sarahanne DeWitt, our primary laser technician, will discuss your tattoo, treatment goals and what may be achievable. Results vary, and complete removal is not always possible.
Lightening for a Cover Up
You may not need to remove a tattoo completely to change it. Lightening existing work can give your tattoo artist more room to plan a cover up.

What to Expect at Your Consultation
Plan for about 30 minutes. Sarahanne DeWitt is our primary laser technician. At your in-person consultation, we’ll assess the tattoo’s size and darkness, discuss removal or lightening, and give an estimate of cost and treatment visits. Ask about aftercare and time between sessions.
Treatment may be possible that day if appropriate and available. Sending a request does not confirm an appointment or same-day treatment.

How Laser Appointments Work
1. Tell us about your tattoo
Tell us the tattoo’s placement, approximate size and age. Include a clear photo and whether your goal is removal or lightening for a cover up.
2. Arrange a consultation
Submit a consultation request. The shop will follow up about availability and the next step. A request does not confirm an appointment.
3. Discuss your options
At your visit, discuss suitability, treatment pricing, progress expectations and recovery. The plan depends on your tattoo and goals.
4. Treatment and aftercare
Follow the aftercare instructions provided at your visit. Further treatments and spacing are discussed as your tattoo responds.
Laser Tattoo Removal Pricing
Treatment is $50 per square inch, per visit. Your consultation gives you an estimate based on your tattoo and goals. This treatment rate is separate from the $50 consultation payment, which is credited toward your first treatment.
Pay per treatment or choose a prepaid package: 3 sessions at 10% off, 5 at 15% off, or 7 at 20% off. A package does not guarantee complete removal within that number of visits. Review our tattoo removal policies for payment, deposits and rescheduling.

What should I know before laser tattoo removal?
Laser tattoo removal uses light energy to break tattoo pigment into smaller particles that the body can gradually clear. Treatment usually takes multiple sessions, and the amount of fading varies. Complete removal is not always possible. Your consultation is the time to discuss your tattoo, goals, and realistic expectations.
If you have itching, swelling, a suspected infection, or an ink reaction around a tattoo, seek advice from a dermatologist or other medical professional before pursuing removal. Laser treatment can worsen an ink allergy. Tell your provider about existing scars and previous reactions so suitability can be assessed.
How do I request a laser consultation?
Request a laser tattoo removal consultation and tell us whether you’re interested in removal or lightening for a cover-up. Include your tattoo’s age, size, placement, and photos. Our front desk will review your request and contact you to schedule.
