Steve Wetherington

Steve picked up art at an early age, and was encouraged by his mother to paint. After winning several art awards in High School, he went on to get his Associate's degree in the arts in college. He started tattooing in 1995, and has tattooed and guest spotted in numerous shops all over the world. He has worked in Detroit, DC, the Canary Islands, Hawaii, Canada, North Carolina, and London, to name a few. He has worked with many well known and famous artists along the way, with whom he was able to swap artistic styles and strategies in mutually beneficial ways. He is originally from Garner, NC, and decided to come back to make his home in the Raleigh area.
His specialties include black and gray realism, Japanese, portraiture, traditional, cover-ups, and very large custom pieces. He almost exclusively draws directly on the body to ensure a unique and custom fit for each person's tattoo.
His favorite things to tattoo are realism, portraits, and pin-ups.
